Ajax - Tottenham Champions League: Match details & TV Channels & Lineups

The 2018-2019 Champions League is the 64th edition of the European Champion Clubs' Cup. 79 European football clubs participate.

It opposes the best European clubs that have distinguished themselves in their respective leagues the previous season.

The final will take place at Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, Spain on Saturday, June 1st, 2019.

79 teams from 55 UEFA member associations are taking part in the 2018-2019 Champions League.

The access list is modified as part of the evolution of UEFA club competitions for the 2018-211 cycle.


According to the UEFA 2016-2017 country coefficients, an access list first defines the number of clubs an association is entitled to send. The provisional distribution for the 2018-2019 season is as follows2:

    The title holder of the UEFA Champions League 2017-2018 is automatically qualified;
    The title holder of the Europa League 2017-2018 is qualified ex officio;
    The associations in places 1 to 4 send the four best clubs of their championship;
    The associations in places 5 to 6 send the three best clubs of their championship;
    The associations in places 7 to 15 send the two best clubs of their championship;
    Associations in places 16 to 55, send the best club of their championship (except Liechtenstein which has no championship).

In a second time, the rank in the league determines the finishing lap.

On the other hand :

    If the UEFA Champions League title holder 2017-2018 is already qualified for the group stage via his championship, the 11th Czech Republic champion qualifies directly for the group stage.
    If the title holder of the Europa League 2017-2018 is already qualified for the group stage via its championship, the third of the championship of the 5th association (France), qualifies directly for the group stage3.
    If the holders of the title of the Champions League and / or Europa League qualify for the preliminary rounds via their championship, their place is released and the teams of the highest ranking associations in the previous rounds will be promoted accordingly.
    An association can have a maximum of five teams in the group stage.

Ajax - Tottenham: what time?

 Meet at 20 GMT, Wednesday, May 8, for the kick-off of this semi-final return of the Ajax - Tottenham Football Champions League.

 The final whistle should sound around 10:45 pm, but if the two teams are perfectly tied (that is, if Tottenham wins 1-0 in Amsterdam), the match will extend in overtime (2x15 minutes) even during the penalty shoot-out.
